Šahovski klub Sarajevo svim građanima Bosne i Hercegovine čestita Dan državnosti. Svim stanovnicima naše države želimo sretnu i uspješnu budućnost.

Današnji dan obilježava se od 25. novembra 1943. godine, kada je održano prvo zasjedanje ZAVNOBIH-a u Mrkonjić Gradu. Na pomenutom zasjedanju donesena je odluka o obnovi državnosti Bosne i Hercegovine, potvrđene su njene historijske granice, koje datiraju još iz vremena srednjovjekovne Bosne, te je Bosna i Hercegovina definisana kao jedna od šest ravnopravnih republika u tadašnjoj Jugoslaviji. Najvažnija činjenica i zaključak zasjedanja ZAVNOBiH-a upravo je to da je Bosna i Hercegovina definisana kao jedinstvena i nedjeljiva država u kojoj će svi narodi imati ista prava.

Povodom Dana državnosti Šahovski klub Sarajevo će održati tradicionalni šahovski turnir 25. novembra 2021. godine s početkom u 16 sati.
